Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour Powder Compact, No 01……….No Photoshop Required!

Hi Everyone,

I was going to give this powder compact a miss believe it or not!  Hence the late review; but once i had read and viewed some reviews on You Tube and from some of my favourite bloggers, i had to have it.

Chanel Les Beiges Powder Compact

I started to look for it online only to find, it is selling out pretty fast. Luckily i found it at Debenhams.

So what’s so amazing about it?

Picture your face in soft focus without the camera and that is the wonderful effect this powder gives.

Although the compact comes divided into three shades, the lightest cream shade has a touch of shimmer to it to use as a highlighter; the middle tan shade has a very light finish for contouring and the peachy shade adds a touch of warmth to the skin and can be used as a light blusher; It is best used all swirled together.

Shade No 1 does not have enough depth to be used individually and is best served as a finishing powder. If you want a more contoured finish, No 2 is your choice.

What number one does give, is an illuminated, soft blurred focus finish to any fine lines and just healthy looking skin. It is really beautiful and deserves all the rave reviews.

Has SPF 15/PA++  which means there is moderate  broad spectrum protection against UVB and UVA rays. Has rose and cotton seed extracts.

One reviewer compared it to Guerlain Meteorites Perles; however, i disagree with that. I think the Meteorites are quite powdery and don’t give that warm healthy finish the Les Beiges pressed powders give. Meteorites tend to give a cooler tone to the skin in my opinion; although, i do love them too.

There is no evidence of any powder on the face because the texture is incredibly finely milled and the addition of shea butter gives a slight moisturizing texture.

I also own Les Beiges No 30 and that gives a tanned natural healthy glow finish too, if you like to add more of a bronzed tone to the skin.

The little half moon brush that comes with the compact is ideal for touch ups too.

What isn’t so amazing about it?

Fairly expensive £39/11gm of product.

I would have preferred a touch more colour to the peach shade so i could have used it as a blusher because it is a gorgeous shade.

I personally love the mild fragrance to it but if you have sensitive skin, this may not work out for you. I notice the fragrance soon disappears once applied to the skin though.

No 1 may not be suitable for darker skin tones.

It’s limited edition and selling out fast if not sold out already.

Final Verdict.

Some illuminating powders can be a real miss because they don’t really add anything other than a large glitter finish or a sparkling shimmer to the skin, which can highlight large pores and lines, not ideal for more mature skin.

Les Beiges is an absolute winner. It just improves the overall appearance to the skin and really does diminish the look of fine lines. I love that healthy ‘glowing from within’ finish and the blurred effect it gives.

Sophistication and maturity has finally reached the finishing powder at last. I guarantee you will use this one every single day and get your money’s worth.

Have you tried out Les Beiges yet? Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉

Hi Mandy, bit late with this but like you I love this compact and have the same feelings about the peach shade. Try adding a touch of the cream blush in presage on top, as it gives a bit of depth to the colour. On me it looks almost identical.

Thanks Ann, yes i will try that. I also add it to Espiege to and it add a touch more peach to that. I think this is one of the best finishing powders Chanel has ever produced and i haven’t stopped using it since i bought it. I wish i could have bought two now lol xx
