The New Chanel Vitalumiere Powder……….. and Liquid! Foundation Preview.

Hi Everyone,

Chanel are releasing a new powder foundation under the Aqualumiere range. It is both a powder and liquid foundation in one. Said to have moisturizers in the powder, (not unlike the wonderful Les Beiges that contain Shea butter then). It’s highly pigmented and gives an airbrushed effect too. Retails at £55.00 for 10gms and comes with a mini kabuki brush.

As shown above, there will be a re-promote of the Vitalumiere Aqua Cream foundation also, which gives a lovely dewy finish to the skin while offering medium coverage. The compact powder foundation is also great to have handy in your purse to for touch ups.

Chanel-Vitalumiere-Loose-Powder-Foundation-1The loose powder foundation has an SPF 15 and gives a medium coverage completely flawless finish which lasts the day.

The Le Blanc De Chanel Primer has also been revamped and now has more illuminating properties. Personally, i love the current version anyway.

Also as part of the collection there will be Le Lift Serum for the face and Le Lift eye cream. There are also two new Joues Contraste powder blushers to add to the collection which are 80 Jersey and 170 Rose Glacier.

There you have it. I am excited by the new powder foundation because by all accounts it leaves skin looking air brushed and feeling silky soft and if Les Beiges powder compacts are anything to go by, i know i’m not going to be disappointed. On release now in the UK.

Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉

So many new foundations on the market at the moment. Last week I went out with a bare face (mid week so not too awful) and tried YSL Fusion Ink, Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation and Chanel’s new offering. The best colour match I got was Tom Ford. The best coverage versus amount used was Tom Ford. YSL Fusion Ink sells itself by saying you need no primers and illuminating base……just the product so it’s cost effective. Not at all convinced. I don’t want cost effective I want to look like I have a perfect, flawless base and for it to last eight hours minimum. The only problem with Chanel’s is that it slides from the face after a few hours IMO. Anyway I have tiny bottle samples of all three to keep working with this week and will make a final decision by Sept 1st when I go to the Tom Ford Autumn Launch.

I think Chanel Aqua Lumiere is my Holy Grail foundation. My review for YSL is coming on Tuesday. Have fun at Tom Ford launch x

UPDATE! I tried out this foundation in store yesterday and sadly i have to report that it is far too sheer for my problem skin. It does illuminate really well but i would have to wear another foundation underneath it and as it’s retailing for £55 in the UK, there’s no way i could justify the cost.
It’s a shame though because i was looking forward to this one the most. Let me know your thoughts on it please.
