Something new for me FOTD! I know plenty of bloggers do this post and TBH! I don’t know whether this will be my first and last one; however, i wear so many different FOTD’s so i thought, why not record what makeup i wear.
When i did this one i was thinking about Autumn/Fall. It was a cool, breezy dark morning and bright pinks just wouldn’t have worked out.
Having recently purchased the lovely deep maroon duo chrome eyeshadow Desdemona from NARS; which is ideal for Autumn, i thought this would pair well with Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Apparence, a lovely burnished gold. Another fabulous shade for Fall/Winter. It was all finished off with Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick Ambigué, a plum/brown with a hint of pink iridescence.
These colours are great shades for blue and green eyes especially, although i think these shades will work on anyone and it’s one of the nicest looks i have created in a long time.
Here is the makeup i used in all its entirety.
- Guerlain L’Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold Makeup Base.
This just works beautifully under any foundation. It hydrates the skin and the pure gold flecks improve skin elasticity. I love this primer so much.
- YSL Fusion Ink Foundation BR30.
Gorgeous foundation and the more I’ve used it, the more i keep falling in love with it. The best foundation release i have tried out this Autumn/Fall. Full review here.
- Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo 001 Pink Glow. (Bronzer side).
I used this bronzer to contour my face. I like it because it isn’t too intense in colour and gives a gentle glow to the skin.
- Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush, 72 Rose Initiale.
A hint of pinky peach to warm the cheeks up.
- Guerlain Terra Ora Sculpting Powder.
Beautiful golden highlighter for the tops of the cheekbones and down the centre of the nose. It warms up the skin with hints of burnished gold. Review here.
- MAC Penultimate Brow Marker Pen.
Gives great control and contour to the eyebrows. A fabulous brow pen worth owning.
- NARS Smudge Proof Eye Base.
An absolute must have in anyones makeup bag. An eye primer that really does work. No creasing eyeshadows and more intense colours. A holy grail for me.
- Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Single Eyeshadow, 817 Apparence.
A burnished gold cream eyeshadow that i applied all over the lid. Gives a warm burnished gold effect with green and pink shimmer. Lovely fall/winter shade reviewed here.
- Chanel Soft Touch Single Eyeshadow, 42 Berry ( Disc.)
A deep mauve pink with a matte finish (very similar to the current fall shade Hesitation). I used this in the outer corner of my eye.
- NARS Dual Intensity Single Eyeshadow, Desdemona.
This was used on my outer V and in the socket of my eye. I applied it with a damp brush to give it a deep metallic duo chrome finish. It stayed put all day and didn’t lose any intensity. It does a little when applied dry. More info and photos here.
- Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Wearing Eye Liner, 85 Grenat.
A unique shade of reddish brown. Goes perfect with the NARS Desdemona and makes blue eyes pop. I applied this on the top lid to line my eyes.
- Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Wearing Eye Liner, 102 Béryl. (Disc.)
I bought two of these because it is one of the nicest waterline colours i have ever used. It is a very pale lilac/white shade. Brightens the eye and i wear it on my lower waterline.
- Diorshow Extase Mascara.
A lovely very dramatic mascara. I use this every day and it lasts many months. It gives gorgoues curly long lashes that hold.
- Chanel Defining Lip Pencil, 32 Pivoine.
A mauve pink which goes very well with pretty much every single lip colour except brighter tones.
- Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick, 124 Ambigué.
Very much an autumnal shade. Rich brown/mauve with a pink iridesence and plenty of pigmentation.
There you have my face of the day for autumn/fall. Do you change your makeup for the colder months? What shades do you like during this time?
Have fun and i will see you all soon. 😉
