Sorry but this post is going to be a review of yet, more lipsticks.
There are so many releases for Spring/Summer at the moment and i had anticipated the release of the Dior Addict Stellar Shine lipstick collection.
I do really like Dior Addict lipsticks and i love sparkle, so i had to buy a couple. Yes, i wanted more. All the shades are universally very wearable.
Dior Addict Stellar Shine Lipsticks.
So what is different about the new formulation other than the title?
First of all, the shade range is gorgeous. The majority are pink based and they have either, a satin mirror or metallic finish with great shine.
There are 16 mirror shades and 8 metallic. Ingredients include 5 oils, some of which are safflower, aloe vera and beeswax and they have a soft vanilla fragrance.
The texture is very smooth on the lip, feels very hydrating and the lipstick melts into the lip giving an iridescent finish with high shine.
They come in the usual Addict packaging with the Dior logo written in pink.
This is a metallic coral pink. It has a great deal of sparkle to it. I love wearing corals in the spring/summer months.
The colour is fairly iridescent on my lip with the pink microshimmers becoming quite prominent once the colour fades.
This feels super hydrating and the microshimmer remains for quite some time. I wouldn’t particularly say 8 hours for this shade. More like 1-2 hours for the main colour and 3 hours for the microshimmers. I am not disappointed though.
This one is highly intense in pigment. It is a deep warm pink with again, lots of pink microshimmers.
Wears really well on the lip. Last a good 3 hours for the colour and then again, 3 hours for the microshimmers before they disappear.
I prefer constellation in colour because i don’t have any others like it; however, i do love the longevity of D-Sparkle and the colour, even though i have a few which are similar.
Comparison with Chanel Rouge Coco Flash.
The Dior Addict Stellar Shine were released at roughly the same time as the Chanel Rouge Coco Flash and i do enjoy wearing makeup from both brands. I wanted to compare the finish and feel on the lips.
The Chanel Flash have more slip to the lip and feel just as moisturising. They have less microshimmers but are much more intense in pigment. If you like more pigment, then they are your choice of lipstick. If you prefer a more iridescent finish, Dior Addict are for you. Dior also come in the mirror finish without microshimmers. I opted for the sparkle variety. Dior gives you 0.2g more product too.

I really love these colours. They are very different from the Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks, which are very pigmented; however, Dior Steller have a more carefree feel to them. Great to pop on in the day and they give a great balm-like, super hydrating feel to the lips.
The longevity of the colour does depend on which shade you choose. The deeper colours are going to last longer on the lip.
Don’t expect hours and hours of longevity but do expect super soft lips once the colour has worn off. They will make a great Mothers Day present for those lucky mums in the UK.
Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
