There’s one product i have loved from MAC for years, besides many others of course, and that’s the MAC eyebrow pencil Dirty Blonde.
It’s a kohl style pencil which gives a fairly light ash brown shades that is just ideal for fair complexion people who have fair to medium coloured brows like myself.
Then MAC released the Fluidline Brow gelcreme Liner in the shade Dirty Blonde. I love the eye lining gels from MAC, they are fantastic quality and stay put all day. With that in mind, i decided to purchase this one for a change.
To my surprise, this is a tough cookie to get hold. It’s only available in MAC free standing stores or online. I got mine at the MET Quarter in Liverpool.
My Initial Thoughts.
The gel is reminiscent of the eyeliner gel, comes in the same style jar with screw on cap. It is a waterproof gel and once set will stay put all day.
The gel itself is a warm brown in colour, not as ash in shade as the pencil version, more richer in tone. Only a tiny amount is needed on the brow brush for the whole brow. It blends into brows easily.
I think this will last a good 6 months with daily use. The pencil also lasts a long time too.
Above left naked brow and right is the with MAC Dirty Blonde Gelcreme.
I really do like this shade, it isn’t quite as ash a shade as i would have liked but i’m not disappointed at all. One of the great things about it is that it stays put once applied and yet i still had time to contour it with a cotton tip before it sets.
Below are swatches using various brow products and then pictured right is after 4 hours wear on the back of my hand.
I will probably repurchase this and although the MAC penultimate marker is a firm favourite of mine; i liked the fact that the gelcreme didn’t wear off, so i could wear it in the pool if i wanted and it is a great price at £15.50 for a healthy 3gm product.
A definite winner with me. Have you tried out this brow gelcreme? Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
